Join us for a bi-weekly Eastside Contact Improvisation (CI) class + jam for beginners and experienced movers alike. Everyone is welcome—all bodies, all experience levels.
Contact Improvisation is a movement practice of listening through touch, gravity, momentum, and shared weight. It's an invitation to explore curiosity, creativity, play, and connection through movement.
We gather to cultivate a focused, accessible space where we can practice, experiment, and deepen our understanding of the form together. Each evening begins with a one-hour all-levels class followed by an open jam. No previous experience is necessary. Please read our community guidelines before attending.
CI offers practices that translate directly into everyday life and relationships such as:
❤️Attunement & listening beyond words
🧡Nervous system regulation & co-regulation
💛Welcoming tension and conflict as part of the dance
💚Finding ease and less effort through mutuality
💜Trusting intuition and adapting to change
